The Apprenticeship
A fantastic opportunity exists for a motivated student living in the Booleroo Centre region to become a 1st Year school-based apprentice with our valued Host Employer Booleroo Engineering. Position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Long term opportunities for the right candidates.
Duties may include
- Perform engineering measurements
- Perform welding using multiple techniques
- Carry out mechanical cutting
- Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques
- Repair, replace, modify fabrications
- Interpret technical drawings
- Use of power tools and hand tools
About you
- Keen interest to learn Certificate 3 in Engineering – Fabrication Trade with commitment to 4 Year Apprenticeship (FTE)
- Able to pass a drug & alcohol test and hearing test
- Hold a current Driver’s License and reliable transport (or working towards and ability to get to work)
- Physically fit as position can be physically demanding
- Ability to work in a team under instruction and use your own initiative when necessary
- Reliable and punctual with good work ethic
