Mentone Grammar is a dynamic ELC through to Year 12 co-educational School, with a proud history dating back to the 1920s. Our School is structured into six campuses, housed in one location in the Bayside suburb of Mentone.
Just like our students, Mentone Grammar staff are inspired to ‘be even better’ with the support of a strong mentoring program, professional development opportunities and a welcoming community.
The school is an open-entry school, drawing students from local Bayside and surrounding suburbs. The school became co-educational in 2006 and adopted a unique Together-Apart-Together model of education, which has resulted in continual growth. The school has a strong philosophy of ensuring that students are happy, healthy, and high achieving.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking applications from experienced and passionate English Teachers who are eager to join an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching team.
This is a full time (1.0 FTE) role and is a leave replacement commencing on 7 October 2024 (Term 4, 2024) until 27 June 2025 (end of Term 2, 2025)

ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Education
- Current Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) registration
- Demonstrated experience in teaching VCE English
- Demonstrated experience teaching Literature to a VCE level is advantageous
- Passion for working with young people and a collaborative team player
- Understanding of effective student learning strategies
- Ability to plan and deliver outstanding lessons that engage and extend all students
- Knowledgeable in current pedagogical thinking and committed to student wellbeing and safety
