About The Role
We are seeking a qualified Enrolled Nurse to join our skin cancer clinic in Byron Bay. We also have clinics located in Ballina and Pottsville (both within 30 minutes drive from Byron Bay) that can offer additional days on a needs basis should you desire more hours throughout the week.
This will be a casual position (expected days to be negotiated during interviews). There may be an opportunity for this position to become part time pending doctor hours.
As a Practice Nurse, your main objective in this role will be to provide a high level of assistance to the medical practitioners of the clinic and a high level of aftercare to the patients.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting Doctors with Excisions and Procedures
- Suture Removals
- Dressings and Wound Care
- Sterilisation and Infection Control
- Patient Education
- Stock Control
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Enrolled Nurse (Skin Cancer clinic or General Practice experience preferable)
- Registered with AHPRA
- Knowledge and experience using Best Practice software ideal but not a must
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Professionally presented
- An energetic and enthusiastic can-do attitude
- Available to work flexible hours and at other nearby locations (Ballina, Pottsville) highly regarded
