Job description

An exciting opportunity is currently available for experienced Enrolled Nurses to join the Nursing Services Team at the Gayndah Health Service within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move within Queensland intrastate (from Qld within MM1 to MM3) or to Queensland from interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent employment may receive up to $70,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme ( https://www.healthycareers.health.qld.gov.au/attraction-incentives )

Your opportunity:

  • The Enrolled Nurse (EN) practices under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) providing clinical and patient-centred care within the Gayndah Health Service. The EN utilises their knowledge, skill and competence to effectively develop, provide and evaluate patient care, whilst maintaining regular communication and assistance from the RN.

Permanent Part Time (38 hours p.f.) and Temporary Part Time Positions (hours negotiable).

Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $41,873 p.a., comprising salary between $34.88 - $37.02 p.h.,  employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 3) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f. and Temporary Part Time Positions, hours negotiable).
