About The Opportunity

Campbelltown Hospital is seeking driven, enthusiastic and adaptive Enrolled Nurses to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work a rotating roster within the Postnatal Unit. We invite those interested in newborn and maternity care to apply. Supportive education will be provided to the successful applicant.

We are seeking forward thinkers who show great initiative while taking action and being dedicated to hands on health improvement. You will be passionate about providing the best care to patients with excellent judgment and strong attention to detail. You will be skilled in recognising any patient decline in a timely manner and be flexible in the care you provide.

What You'll Be Doing

The Enrolled Nurse works with the registered nurse or midwife as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of safe, compassionate, quality person-centered care. Campbelltown Hospital provides a holistic, ultra-modern facility that is continuously expanding its services. The hospital is a dynamic, diverse and collaborative with all sectors of the hospital working together to provide to superior patient care. Whilst being the major hospital for the MacArthur area, the hospital has not lost its sense of community and regional support.

Located close to the CBD and public transport, Campbelltown Hospital is largely becoming one of South West Sydney’s most important medical precincts with a range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine and aged-care services. The hospital features both Mental Health and Cancer facilities which offer patients exceptional care and continued support. 

The hospital is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar upgrade, boasting the state of the art equipment and amenities to help serve the community. Inside of this redevelopment comes a focus on training and upskilling throughout the hospital with an emphasis on encouraging staff to pursue learning and development opportunities.

How to Apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated recent experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  5. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  6. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  7. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
