AddressWe are looking for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with surgical ward or operating theatre experience keen to make a move into an office environment (located in Doncaster). This role provides a unique opportunity to learn new skills in Surgical Coordination, whilst working as part of the nursing team for one day per week. The practice provides high level specialised care with surgical and non-surgical interventions, integrating care with allied health and other health professionals.
As part of the Surgical Coordination team you liaise closely with patients, specialists and a range of hospitals and radiology clinics to facilitate and coordinate theatre bookings for a wide variety of specialties and presenting conditions. 1-2 days per week you will have the opportunity to work in the nursing team, assessing patients pre and post operatively and providing wound care and education.
In this position you must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively. The practice is dedicated to delivering a high level of customer service with compassion and care. Facilitating and advocating for patients on their path to wellbeing, encompassing mental physical and social elements of care.
EEN Profile
- Current AHPRA Nursing Registration (EEN)
- Recent experience in surgical ward or operating theatres
- High level of attention to detail & accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Passion for great customer service and patient outcomes
- Competent computer skills, able to learn new software programs
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
- Great time management skills
