Enrolled Nurse - Transit Lounge

About the role

Mater Health is currently seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join the Transit Lounge Team.

This is a permanent full-time role based in South Brisbane. Hours of operation in the unit is 0700-1730 and you will be rostered on day shifts during these times.

Salary range: $34.84 - $37.10 (EN) per hour plus superannuation and access to salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse in Mater’s Transit Lounge, you will facilitate timely inpatient discharges and efficient transfer of patients to and from the outpatients’ department as an integral part of the Transit Lounge Team.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Patient care involving medications, dressings and observations
• Data entry and computer use for transfers using TRAIS, IPM, Outlook, Verdi, Trendcare
• Liaise and negotiate with all other care providers and stakeholders within the hospital
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
• Intravenous medication competency
• Recent practice experience
• Experience with Transit/ Discharge setting is highly advantageous
• Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
• Highly developed written and verbal and computer data entry communication skills
