Position tenure: Continuing

Weeks worked: Up to 52 weeks per year including school holidays

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 23 hours per week - required to work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each week

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4 - $34.86 per hour (School Salary Scale)/(Services Salary Scale)

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

About the role - The Enrolment and Front Office Reception Officer is responsible to the Principal, as well as having close contact with parents and incoming students. As such, this position requires well-developed people and communication skills.
Essential Criteria

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic context.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills including proven capability in communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • High-level administrative and strong organisational ability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity and personal presentation and be self-directed, highly motivated, reliable, loyal, and trustworthy.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of database management programs with a proven ability to learn new systems and procedures; flexible and adaptable.
  • Well-developed Microsoft Office and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing appropriately with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Collaborative and servant approach to working in a team with a proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other team members upholding values and beliefs of the school.

Desirable criteria – experience with school information systems, eg eMinerva.
Will be required to assist in front reception during busy periods from time to time.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
