We are looking for 2 roles for one of our clients in the Bowen Basin with experience in an open pit coal environment. These roles can be FIFO but DIDO or residential Blackwater will be highly regarded.

Environmental Advisor
Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent you'll be at the forefront of delivering key environmental outcomes for the mine. You will lead in providing functional support and guidance to management and relevant departments on matters pertaining to environmental statutory requirements, regulatory conditions, approvals, compliance and associated obligations and requirements
This role is for someone who is competent and ready to get stuck into some work. If you have 3 years or more experience under your belt and ready to work in a high performance team this is for you. Paying $235k/year.
To be considered you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or similar;
- Experience in water management will be highly regarded
- Rehabilitation of mine site landforms will be highly regarded
- High level of capability in Regulatory reporting requirements
- Experience in developing and delivering environmental approvals
- Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.
- Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
- Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Working Rights in Australia and based in Perth.
Environmental Superintendent
Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will be an active intermediary between the business leadership team and the project team, and with accountability for the delivery of the environmental program; ensuring business and project needs are met and progressing in a timely manner, such to mitigate / avoid business impacts.
This role is for someone experienced who has done the role before and can quickly get up to speed. Paying $329k/year.
To be considered you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or similar;
- Experience working in a similar capacity in a coal mine (as this is for coverage, you need to be able to get up to speed quickly).
- Experience with, relevant environmental and planning legislation and approvals.
- Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.
- Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
- Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Working Rights in Australia.
