The role:

• Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager - Infection Prevention Control Unit (Nurse Manager), provide a defined, high standard infection control cleaning service across the Launceston General Hospital.

Infection Prevention Control Unit - LGH:

• The Environmental Clean Team are known as the E-Team.
• The E-Team is part of the larger Infection Prevention and Control Unit based at the LGH

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, casual, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working as and when required, commencing from as soon as possible for a period of 2 years

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

1. Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations)

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

1. crimes of violence
2. sex related offences
3. serious drug offences
4. crimes involving dishonesty

1. Identification check
2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
