What you’ll do:
Develop and deliver key documentation, and training packages for the Environmental Water delivery framework and in other areas as required.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among various stakeholders including environmental managers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, government agencies, non-profit organisations, and research institutions.
Contribute to the development of material that is used to promote and or explain WaterNSW’s role in Environmental Water management across the Murray Darling Basin and in the unregulated river systems in coastal regions including the greater metropolitan region.
Assist in enhancement / development of tools to deliver and account for Environmental Water in consultation with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication.
Identify and address changes needed to deliver the Environmental Water programs consistent with regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or related field or relevant, demonstrated level of operational experience
Sound knowledge of Water Management legislation, regulations and policies & understanding of operations in bulk water supply system operations.
Understanding of challenges in Environmental Water management and / or linkages to cultural water management
Well-developed communication and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and projects simultaneously
(Favourable): Experience with the use of hydrological and/or hydraulic models and/or experience with the management and delivery of Environmental Water programs
