You will support the team on various workforce development activities across the National Intelligence Community (NIC), including workforce planning, recruitment, talent attraction and retention, career outreach, and diversity initiatives.


As NIC Workforce Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate and support the Australian Government Graduate Program - Intelligence Stream graduate activities
  • Provide administrative support to the team on a range of NIC workforce projects, including workforce planning initiatives that focus on talent attraction, diversity and recruitment
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and providers to deliver successful outcomes
  • Provide support in the preparation of reports, submissions and correspondence for a range of workforce activities, including content research and development
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including updating or developing processes, procedures, communication materials
Key Attributes

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse stakeholders
    • Exceptional organisational and time management skills to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines
    • Ability to think laterally, problem-solve, develop, and implement solutions in complex, multi-disciplinary environments
    • A continuous improvement mindset in everything you do
    • HR experience, such as recruitment or graduate program management, or broad exposure to an APS environment would be an advantage
    • Experience analysing and interpreting data would be an advantage

The Branch

The ONI Workforce Branch is responsible for the delivery of quality HR across the entire people lifecycle. Workforce branch manages both the internal Human Resource functions for the organisation as well as leading workforce initiatives on behalf of the National Intelligence Community.
