This pivotal role involves collaborating with engineering teams to integrate HSE principles into design decisions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and mitigating potential risks.Key Responsibilities:HSE Integration into Design:
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to embed health, safety, and environmental considerations into project design.
- Review design documents to identify and address potential HSE risks effectively.
- Stay abreast of HSE regulations and standards applicable to the project location and industry.
- Ensure project design aligns with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct HSE risk assessments specific to the design phase, facilitating proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Work collaboratively with engineers to implement design changes that reduce or eliminate potential hazards.
- Lead and participate in HSE design reviews, assessing safety and environmental measures.
- Provide recommendations for improvements based on industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive HSE documentation for the FEED project.
- Prepare regular reports on HSE performance and milestones achieved during the design phase.
- Develop and deliver impactful HSE training programs for engineering and project teams.
- Foster a robust safety culture and heightened awareness of environmental considerations.
- Contribute to the development of emergency response plans tailored to the design phase.
- Coordinate and participate in tabletop exercises and simulations to enhance preparedness.
- Evaluate and monitor the HSE performance of contractors engaged in the FEED project.
- Ensure contractors adhere strictly to project-specific HSE requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification in HSE (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH).
- Previous experience in HSE management within hydrocarbon/energy/ammonia projects.
- Familiarity with relevant HSE regulations and standards.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with engineering teams
