National Landcare Facilitator - Call for Expressions of Interest

The National Landcare Network (NLN) is seeking expressions of interest from highly experienced individuals who are dedicated to advancing grassroots Landcare and empowering communities to care for our environment. As the National Landcare Facilitator, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and support collaborative efforts to promote sustainable land management practices at a national level.
About the Position:
- Specifications: Funding has been granted for up to a maximum of 3 years. Contractual arrangements are yet to be determined and will be designed to comply with new Fair Work requirements.
- Salary: Full-time rate of $110,000 - $120,000 per annum + superannuation. Negotiable based on experience and qualifications of candidate.
- Location: Negotiable to suit the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Coordination: Lead and coordinate the implementation of the Strengthen Landcare - Deliver Nature Repair Program in collaboration with NLN members and diverse partners across Australia.
- Knowledge Exchange: Facilitate knowledge-sharing of best practices and latest innovations in natural resource management (NRM).
- Community Engagement: Promote community volunteering and support grassroots Landcare with training and resources, developed and delivered in collaboration with a range of partners.
- Corporate and Philanthropic Engagement: Build partnerships with corporate and philanthropic organisations to develop corporate volunteering programs and secure additional support for Landcare initiatives.
- Advocacy and Promotion: Raise awareness and promote the importance of Landcare, regional NRM, and First Nations in land and water management.
Responsibilities may be adjusted according to the way the program evolves. If this occurs it will be done by negotiation with the successful applicant.
About the Organisation
The National Landcare Network (NLN) was established in approximately 2009 and is the peak representative body for community Landcare across Australia. Across the NLN's members - the eight State and Territory Landcare Organisations (STLOs) - the NLN represents around 170,000 individual Landcarers around the country.
