EOI Perioperative Services - Registered Nurse / Theatre Technician / CSSD Instrument Technician
Skill set: Surgical Liaison, Day Surgery, Anaesthetics, Scrub and Circulating, PACU.

Bass Coast Health (BCH) is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo.
In order to support our rapidly growing population, we're growing our services and the complexity of our organisation. This has included adding a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our region.
BCH offers a state-of-the-art new theatre complex comprising of 4 operating suites and a central sterilising department. In addition, a new hospital is being constructed at Phillip Island Community Hub offering an additional two day surgery theatres. This is projected to be functional in 2025.
BCH is experiencing an exciting time of growth and expansion. Our service delivery is increasing in capability and capacity.
Position Summary
BCH has been working with the Department of Health and our sub-regional and regional partners to increase our service capability. Currently BCH offers the following surgical specialties: general surgery, gastroenterology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, urology, breast and endocrine, plastics and Orthopaedics.
Bass Coast Health provides a multidisciplinary service model working with patients and their families to deliver high quality surgical care.
The theatre team are seeking expressions of interest from experienced PERIOPERATIVE STAFF to join our team to provide exceptional care to our community and build a strong foundation for our department.
Initially, BCH are offering the opportunity for applicants to register their interest for upcoming EFT, with options available to join our perioperative casual bank in the interim whilst we await our imminent expansion.
Requirements of the position are

  • Valid Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination Directions
  • Flu Vaccination
Desirable
  • Certificate qualification relevant to your specialty
