Water Cart Responsibilities:
- Operate Water Carts to transport and distribute water on construction sites.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Water Cart, adhering to all relevant safety guidelines and regulations.
- Fill the Water Cart with the appropriate amount of water as required for specific tasks.
- Monitor water levels and refill the Water Cart as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the Water Cart, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and general cleanliness.
- Operate and maneuver vacuum trucks to perform suction and removal of waste, debris, or liquids from designated areas.
- Utilize vacuum hoses and equipment to collect materials from construction sites, industrial facilities, or other locations as needed.
- Dispose of collected materials in a correct and safe manner.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the Vac Truck, including checking equipment for faults, tire pressure, and general cleanliness.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Follow project plans and instructions.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain positive Communications with site traffic and personell.
- Maintain accurate records of usage.
Requirements:
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) License.
- Construction OHS White Card with an updated relevant resume
- Minimum 2 -5 years’ relevant experience in civil Construction related job role
- Ticket / Licence must be nationally accredited (RII coded)
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to pass a full medical with ongoing drug and alcohol testing
- Proven experience operating Water Carts on civil construction sites.
- Solid understanding of Water Cart operations and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
