We are seeking an enthusiastic Line Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of our exciting projects.Our Dandenong Production team are currently seeking our next EPU Manager (Elementary Production Unit). As the EPU Manager your main responsibility is to manage all the manufacturing activities in your domain for your project(s).Reporting to the Line Manager, you will be responsible for time management (presence management and activity management) of all employees, and assuring compliance with the local legislation and accountable for the time reconciliation. You will ensure the manufacturing preparation of the activity is proactively aligned with Production KPI's to ensure deliverables are met.We'll look to you for the following:
- Management and requests for training & qualification of operators
- Determining hiring requirements (internal, external, temporary), requests & requirements for sub-contracting
- Responsible for the industrial process Hand-over from PME to manufacturing
- Responsible the deployment of the Alstom Performance Management System (APSYS) preparation
- SQCD performance for the activity in the Production Unit, and tracking the associated KPI
- Continuous improvement of SQCD performance of the activity in the EPU
- Optimizations of the workstation/work centre using of Alstom Performance System (ALPS) Tools
- Responsible for 5's mentioning and implementation
- Ensure lean Principals are followed
- Work with the CFT team to deliver in full, on time
- Contribution to 1st Train(s) /products Manufacturing Feedback to support functions in order to improve SQCD performance.
- Secondary qualification or trade qualification highly desirable
- Previous position in an operations industrial environment
- Experience in Railway industry, preferably within an industrialization environment or in Automotive manufacturing
- Profound knowledge of special processes such as Welding, Fabrication, Crimping etc
- Team Management including management of cross functional teams
- Processes for industrials end to end, from engineering deliverables to final delivery
- Manufacturing Processes and Technologies.
