West Coast Veterinary Hospital is calling for applicants for a full-time Equine/Reproduction Veterinarian commencing May 2024.We are seeking an energetic and caring equine veterinarian to join our growing team at West Coast Veterinary Hospital. Our state-of-the-art hospital is located in Forrestdale, WA, 20 mins south of the CBD. West Coast Veterinary Hospital is a purpose-built veterinary hospital that opened in January 2017, we currently employ over 50 staff. Our clinic is a great place to work, with low staff turnover and an exciting and varied caseload.
Our caseload is 55% small animals, 40% equine and 5% farm animals. We have three spacious operating theatres, three small animal consulting rooms, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, digital radiography, MRI and ultrasonograhy facilities.
The available position will be required to provide veterinary care for equines. Whilst the ability to see other species would be well-regarded, it is not a requirement in this instance.
The ideal applicant should have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Great equine reproduction skills
- Excellent equine aneasthesia skills
- Excellent lameness examination skills
- Live within 20 minutes of the clinic
- Willing to be apart of a 1/3 weekday after hours roster and 1/3 weekend after hours roster
- The ability to register as veterinarian in Western Australia
