Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced Estimator/ Scheduler located at our Trade Service Centre in Melton (location is flexible).
You will be responsible for interpreting customers approved specifications, structural and architectural drawings and produce work schedules ready for manufacture and delivery.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Preparation of estimates, bar schedules detailing diameters, grades, shape of bars for production
- Accurately take off reinforcing steel and preparation of cutting list (works schedule) of reinforcing for manufacture and delivery
- Communicate with customers, production, site personal and sales
- Actively promote our products and services to customers to generate maximum sales and margins
- Preparation of estimates for quoting and bar schedules detailing diameters, grades, shape of bars for production;
- Communicate with customers, production, site personal and sales;
To be considered successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Must have 5 years or more of experience
- Attention to detail
- Must have auto cad experience
- Customer orientated, capable of competently liaising with internal staff and customers in professional and pleasant manner
- Work in team environment that fosters getting the job done
- Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
- Possess practical and structural knowledge of products and services within the construction and building industry
- Extended knowledge of construction sequencing and structural properties and designs
- Familiarity with all types of structural drawings for construction including domestic, residential, multi-storey and civil works
- Extended knowledge of mathematics including trigonometry and geometrical equations
