Cockburn Joinery Myaree is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating department, assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for joinery projects. Key Responsibilities:
Project Analysis:
- Collaborate with management to understand the scope and specifications of joinery projects.
- Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and project documentation to gather necessary information for estimating.
Cost Estimation:
- Utilise estimating software JoinerySoft to prepare accurate estimates for materials, labour, and other project-related expenses.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Compile and organise all relevant data, including quantities, specifications, and pricing, into comprehensive estimates.
- Generate detailed documentation to communicate estimates to management.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project requirements and estimates.
- Participate in meetings to discuss project details and provide input on cost-related aspects.
Qualifications and Qualities:
- Experience using JoinerySoft is extremely desirable however on the job training can be provided to the right candidate.
- 3+ years in a similar role or a Certificate IV in Building Project Support (Estimator) is desirable.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and the ability to work within deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the joinery industry.
