An opportunity exists in our business for an Estimator, based in the south of the state and reporting to the Margate Manager. The role will include all aspects of estimating and sales from enquiry through to submission. You will be producing estimates for boats/marine vessels/structures, steel fabrication and site install/erection.
About The Role
The key duties will include:
- Developing relationships with existing and new clients across Tasmania and interstate,
- Create business opportunities, with new and existing customers,
- Generate quotations and estimates,
- Undertaking negotiations with suppliers and clients to develop the business,
- Supporting the project team and ensuring effective execution to meet client expectations and ensuring project profitability.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following qualities:
- Ability to read engineering/technical drawings and documentation
- Technical aptitude with the ability to identify customer’s technical needs with a view to providing solutions, ideally with industry trade experience,
- Proficient computer skills (utilising MS Office Suite & in-house estimating software)
- Project Management
- Excellent & proven sales skills
- Current driver's license
- Prior experience in the marine/steel fabrication industry desirable
