Your role

As the Event Response Coordinator, you will support the Event Response Manager in operationalising Hollard’s Event Response strategy to lift our Event Response to the next level.

You will be a team player with strong attention to detail, responsible for actively assisting with initial response and management of events and catastrophes, working alongside multi-skilled Event Response Consultants.

The Event Response Coordinator will also work with stakeholders across Operations to deliver first class claims management of event and catastrophe claims and deliver timely outcomes that place our customers and brokers at the heart.

Your duties and responsibilities, but not limited to: 
  • Supporting the Event Response program of work by delivering continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Hollard’s strategy and purpose
  • Support the response and management of events and catastrophes in accordance with the Event Response and Business Continuity Plans, across Operations. 
  • Monitor event and catastrophe claims to ensure reinsurance requirements are met
  • Oversee internal and external communications and information updates 
  • Maintain Event Response records, libraries and resources
  • Provide communications and updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support updates and improvements to Hollard’s Event Response
  • Support the co-ordination of attendance of Insurance Council Australia forums, town halls and recovery centres and deployment of our Hollard Event and Recovery Team following weather events and catastrophes
  • Actively participate in a team culture of timely and decisive action on claims
  • Adherence to compliance, including compliance with Hollard policies and procedures, to enhance effectiveness, mitigate risk and meet regulatory obligations.

About You

  • Understanding of and experience in the Insurance industry, with a strong knowledge of Insurance Claims disciplines, practices and products 
  • Proven experience in initiative management and delivery 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Event Response and Business Continuity Plans
  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
