This position is a fixed term full-time opportunity commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

About the Role
DFES is looking for an organised and motivated Events and Awards assistant to support the Sponsorship, Awards and Events team with the successful delivery of our Events and Awards program.
You will assist with the development and delivery of a range of corporate Events and Awards including the WA Fire and Emergency Services Conference, WA Fire and Emergency Services Awards, International Firefighters’ Day Memorial Service and the Volunteer Employer Recognition Awards.
In addition to this you will also help with processing and administration of long service medals and other recognition for DFES staff and volunteers.
In return, you’ll get to work in a great team, making a difference to the community and helping to make WA a safer State.
This position also forms part of a public information on-call roster requiring work on evenings, weekends and public holidays when rostered.
Having a relevant qualification or experience working in events is highly desirable, however it is not an essential requirement.

Employment Conditions and Additional Information
DFES is an emergency services organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies.
This position participates in the on-call media and public information roster, including after hours and weekend work as required.

Eligibility To Apply
