About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Community Engagement Team Leader, you will lead the development and implementation of Seqwater's community event strategy, with a focus on events that support employee, stakeholder and community education and Engagement in line with the Customer, Strategy, and planning program of work and Seqwater's corporate strategy.
This role is responsible for:
- Leading the approach and identification of potential community and internal events with relevant stakeholders and supporting the fostering and sustaining of these partnerships to extend Seqwater's reach and impact.
- Developing and evaluating Seqwater's event strategy to increase stakeholder, customer and community satisfaction and support.
- Providing advice and support to internal stakeholders on the planning and delivery of events to ensure best practice and compliance requirements are met and supported by the right tools and work instructions.
- Providing community engagement and issues management support to internal stakeholders, including for minor to moderate infrastructure projects, operational and maintenance activities and customer service matters.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Knowledge and experience in managing events, preferably large scale and within a community setting
- Experience in event planning, identifying, and building strategic partnerships to enhance an organisation brand and reputation
- Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, with emphasis on managing external and internal relationships and community engagement issues
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Unrestricted Driver's License (Car)
