Babalou Wedding and Events is an oceanfront venue in the heart of Kingscliff, and we are seeking a Events& Bistro Supervisor to join our team.
About the role:
· Deliver and execute our eventsfrom start to finish.
· Supervise bistro downstairs.
· Ability to work in a busy andfast paced environment.
· Ability to think quick andtroubleshoot any issues.
· Liaise with all key people andsuppliers during events.
· Manage the team, allocatesections, draw up briefing boards, manage breaks and staff wages.
· Manage stock ordering and rotation.
· Work closely with the Sales Teamand Events Coordinator with managing the day to day running of the Events Department.
· Work closely with the Kitchenteam prior and be able to run the pass on the night.
· Flexibility around workingweekends and public holidays.
· Conduct room resets after eachevent and ensure the venue is always kept immaculate.
· Complete detailed nightlyreports after each event.
About you:
· Excellent customer service andtime management skills.
· Well presented with a professionaland friendly personality.
· Current NSW RSA competency card.
· Have at least one - two years’experience working in Weddings and Events.
· Have a positive attitude andexcellent communication skills with an eye for detail.
· Ability to lead by example andcreate a great team environment.
· Must have a passion for thehospitality industry and all things weddings and events.
· Sound bar knowledge (includingwines) with the right skills to make cocktails and coffee.
