Permanent Part-time: 3 days per week including fortnightly Saturday shifts & after hours exhibition openings as needed.
Commencing as soon as possible with a 12 week probationary period.
Minimum 22 hours per week. Hours determined by Centre Management.

As a charitable not-for-profit organisation, in operation for over 50 years, the Stirling Street Arts Centre is the heart of community arts in the Bunbury Region, with 7 studios and 2 exhibition spaces, the Centre is always busy!
Stirling Street Arts is home to over 270 members, 170 workshops, 15 exhibitions and major community events.
The Events & Exhibitions Coordinator will be part of a small team who work closely to achieve the SSAC vision of an Arts Centre for all in the South West.
The Exhibition & Events Coordinator is responsible for delivering major Events & coordinating exhibitions at the Stirling Street Arts Centre.
Major events include but are not limited to the SSAC Open Day & Member’s Exhibition (October) and Art in the Garden (November).
The Events & Exhibitions Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Assisting SSAC members and local artists to deliver their own exhibitions.
- Creating marketing materials, sales spreadsheets, contracts & catalogues.
- Giving minor installation assistance.
- Processing opening event sales.
- All aspects of event planning & delivery.
- Event grant applications & acquittals.
- Creation and monitoring of event budgets.
- Creation of new Events & fundraising initiatives in collaboration with SSAC staff & Board.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience planning & delivering events.
- Knowledge of event risk management & health & safety requirements.
- Knowledge & skills relating to exhibition delivery.
- High level of administrative skill.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies & software.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Relevant and prior experience in working successfully in a small team.
- Ability to work flexible hours in line with event & exhibition delivery.
- Understanding & passion for arts education and the creative/cultural industries.
- Ability to work independently as required.
- Ability to work on-site in Bunbury office.
Desirable
- Degree in event management or visual arts.
- Experience working in the community/not-for-profit sector.
- Successful history of grant application & acquittal.
The Events & Exhibitions Coordinator will report to the Centre Manager & SSAC Board of Management.
