What’s the job?

You'll manage and coordinate group reservations, ensuring accuracy and seamless communication with clients. Supporting the Sales and Events team, you'll optimise occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction by efficiently managing room blocks. Additionally, you'll provide vital administrative assistance and contribute to event planning and execution for various occasions, ensuring high-touch experiences for tour groups, weddings, conferences, incentives, and celebratory events.

Your day to day

Will involve coordinating Weekly Group Pick-Up Reports and participating in Group Resume meetings to ensure smooth operations and collaboration between departments. Acting as a liaison, you'll facilitate communication of client needs, provide administrative support, and maintain an inclusive team environment. You'll also focus on promoting guest satisfaction by attending to telephone calls promptly, ensuring accurate reservation management, and fostering long-term client relationships. Additionally, you'll contribute to financial objectives by processing reservation amendments, managing room blocks effectively, and supporting revenue targets, all while adhering to safety protocols and IHG policies.

  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organisational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal, enabling seamless communication and relationship-building with colleagues and clients alike. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while navigating conflicting deadlines with ease.  
  • Strong presentation, commercial and communication skills 
  • Strong influencer and persuader - adept at influencing and persuading others to achieve desired outcomes.
