As part of this journey, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Partnership & Sponsorship Producer to join our Events & Festivals team.

About the role:

The Event Partnership & Sponsorship Producer is responsible for managing relationships with key external partners that support the Events & Festivals Strategy. The role is accountable for the overall coordination, management and delivery of partnership (including sponsorship) agreements and performance outcomes, to deliver meaningful, high quality programmed events that foster positive reputation and engagement outcomes for the City of Parramatta.

The position is also responsible for sourcing and securing event grant opportunities by liaising with internal and external stakeholders and facilitating grant applications from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and make recommendations to Council's Sponsorship Policy
  • Develop and foster relationships with key partners, specifically identifying new partnership opportunities for growth.
  • Working with the Event and Marketing Teams to manage sponsor and funding body deliverables.
  • Develop sponsorship proposals and work with event marketing leads to ensure achievable deliverables are offered.
  • In coordination with the Directorate's Leadership manage commercial negotiations with key partners and sponsors to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
  • Work within Council policies and protocols to negotiate and execute contracts agreements and manage administration delivery of contractual obligations.

About You:

With 5 or more years experience delivering successful large public or private events, or comparative programming activities in the arts, cultural or related fields, you have a proven track record of achieving strategic objectives and working successfully with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

You will also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications, such as a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business, Communications (or related discipline) or another relevant qualification combined with a significant amount of relevant event programming experience in a project lead capacity.
  • The ability to actively seek opportunity, capable of managing projects with multiple stakeholders in complex organisations.
  • Experience in negotiating, managing, and executing contracts and/or agreements.
  • Experience delivering services to a high standard meeting financial and other business performance criteria.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Detailed understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements in event management.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $98,129 to $108,038 plus 11% superannuation.
