This role is located within Summerland Farm team. As a business of Australia's largest disability service provider, Aruma (formerly known as House with No Steps), our purpose is to provide employment for people with a disability. Summerland Farm is located on a beautiful macadamia and avocado farm, set high on the hills of the Alstonville plateau overlooking the Ballina coastline. About the role:
The Events & Promotions Lead will support the Retail & Tourism Coordinator to deliver highly effective and engaging events, workshops and tours across the hospitality and tourism portfolio in a manner that realises Aruma's Purpose and Values.
You will also be responsible for delivery of content across all social media platforms for Summerland Farm. In this role you will generate growth in sales and customers through effective coordination of promotional activity including channels such as social media, newsletters, website, print, onsite and internal promotions.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate site events, programs, workshops and tours successfully to deliver in generating positive customer experiences, growing customers and sales
Increase in customer base, visitation and revenue through content creation and coordination of Summerland Farm's social media platforms and other promotional activities
Deliver services and products through effective operational activities
Provide excellent customer service to promote Summerland Farm services and build positive relationships with external customers, suppliers and the broader community
Develop new products and services to grow and diversify Summerland Farm events on offer
Build team relationships with the broader Summerland Farm team and facilitate cooperation and collaboration, reflecting our values and producing effective team results
Provide administrative support that ensures site events and operational requirements are met

About You:
Demonstrates respect towards people with a disability
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment with ability to work under pressure
Excellent customer service
Effective verbal and written communication
Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
Work autonomously and as part of diverse team
Bring a positive and creative attitude consistent with Summerland Farms ethos and Aruma's values, contributing to an engaging workplace culture celebrating diversity and continuous improvement
A commitment to the Summerland Farm and Aruma's Code of Conduct
Cert IV in Events Management; or equivalent knowledge and experience (planning and coordinating events, workshops or tours)
Demonstrated experience in content management and social media
Sound and proficient computer skills
A practical understanding of WHS requirements
A current Australian driver's license
RSA certificate
Desirable:
Diploma of Social Media Marketing
