Due to a high level of growth, our expansion requires the services of a full-time, events-based Warehouse / Site Lead.
About the Role
As Warehouse & Site Lead you will be responsible for the overall day to day upkeep of our warehouses, inventory and advance event delivery reporting to our Project Leads and Operations Manager.
Your role includes but will not be limited to:
- Lead and oversee daily operations of the warehouse, including the warehouse facilities, fleet management and equipment maintenance;
- Stock Control / Quality Control;
- Warehousing Principles / OH&S Standards;
- Workflow Management / Execution of job specific manufacture, prep & deprep;
- In addition to this, you will crew lead (or advance on behalf of the project lead) a number of our events, taking the frontline lead for event installations across South East Queensland and beyond.
Specifics Job Highlights
- Full Time, 38hr week with overtime calculated at the end of the month (paid as overtime, accumulated TOIL or additional holiday hours depending on what matters most to you).
- The remuneration package is dependent on the candidate's level of experience. We will remunerate via a fortnightly base wage, overtime (see above) and Entitlements (Super, Workers Comp, Mat Leave etc).
- We are a new business who are expecting a high level of growth so your role is the first of many more hires to come. This job has room to grow, develop and may lead to a promotion to a more senior role should you want it and your skills be suitable down the track.
About you
- To be considered, you must demonstrate:
- 5+ years experience in a similar role within the events industry;
- Proven ability to drive operational initiatives;
- Forklift license, or the ability to obtain upon contract commencement;
- HR License, or the ability to obtain upon contract commencement;
- Strong communication, relationship building, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Be physically fit;
- Invested in an ongoing role, no time-wasters please.
Your skill set should include;
- You should have advanced knowledge of production, signage and theming (that’s the big one) as well as understanding of event operations and how to best work in with a wider network of suppliers in various event landscapes (corporate and live event sites).
- You will be an analytical problem solver (even when the timelines are tight, the deadlines are looming and the pressure is on).
- You will have exceptional people skills as we will empower you to manage, develop, educate and motivate our team (to have them work autonomously) as well as foster our relationships industry wide to work towards a win/win for everyone whom we collaborate with!
- You lack any sense of heightened ego and will take constructive criticism regardless of whom it comes from. You believe culture is king and that the “this is how it’s always been done” mentality leads to a slow demise. You believe that transparency and communication is key and that leading by example is what shapes an organisation i.e you won’t expect of our people what you wouldn’t be willing to do yourself.
