Excavator Operator

Are you an experienced Excavator Operator looking for an exciting opportunity within the Hobart area? We have a position available for operators to join one of our dynamic clients. This long-term position offers full-time hours and the chance to work with an industry-leading organisation in a supportive, professional and progressive environment.Positions Available:Excavator Operator with experience within 10 tonne and lower for detailed building and construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Residential and Commercial construction:

• Operate and maintain excavator according to safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform bulk cuts and earthmoving tasks such as digging trenches, ditches, foundations, and backfilling.
• Load and unload materials using the excavator's bucket or other attachments.
• Civil component (driveways, trenches, foundations and footings, levelling, etc).
• Experience with final trim operations.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry.
• Valid and up-to-date certifications and licenses to operate excavators and heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, maps, and other construction documents.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to operate equipment for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
