Form of workWe are a gold explorer and producer that is uniquely positioned to further unlock the potential of our 1200km2 land holding in the highly productive Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. Our operations at Davyhurst is located 120 km north-west of Kalgoorlie. We have a total mineral resource inventory of 2.00 Moz at an average grade of 2.5 g/t Au, and defined mineral reserves of 276koz at 1.9 g/t Au. Our tenements are also highly prospective for Nickel, Copper and Lithium.
THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced Excavator Operator to join the team at Ora Banda.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Excavator pre-and post-operational inspections and reports.
- Safe operation of excavators in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and the manufacturers recommendations.
- Accurately excavate ore and waste to the grade control geologist’s and surveyor’s markings and to direct the trucks to deliver the material to the correct stockpile areas.
- Working to KPI’s but maintaining safety always.
- Effective operation of the excavator to achieve maximum productivity. q Plan and manage the excavation to survey design.
- Direct truck movement and manage the numbers of trucks needed for optimal productivity.
- Maintain a level and smooth working floor.
- Manage support equipment in and around loading area.
- Other duties as required
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Experience with Komatsu 1250 and Liebherr 9200 Excavator equipment
- Previous Excavator operator experience in an open pit environment, with preference given to those with gold mining experience
- Nationally accredited tickets to operate Excavator equipment
- HR License preferable (or higher)
- 3 years minimum experience on machines
- A minimum of a C class driver’s licence
- Construction Safety Awareness Training Card (White Card) desirable
- Current Manual driver’s licence
