Excavator Operators – Scrap Processing & Recycling

Liberty Industrial is currently seeking experienced Scrap ProcessingExcavator Operators for FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) work on major projects (18+ months of work) in Queensland and Northern Territory. The roster is 60-70 hours per week, depending on project requirements, on a 3 and 1 swing.

Additional allowances:

• Penalty rates for overtime (average 65 hours per week).
• Accommodation and meals provided.
• Travel hours to remote project and return paid.
• Daily $25 Remote Camp Allowance.
• Crib allowance; and
• Income Protection Insurance.

We are looking to fill several positions.

We are seeking Scrap ProcessingExcavator Operators who can operate Hydraulic Mobile Shears.

We pride ourselves on our extensive fleet of low-hour and highly specialised plant and equipment, with excavators ranging from 25t to 230t, and High-Reach excavators ranging from 48t to 200t.

Skills that are essential for the role:

• High levels of safety commitment.
• Operate excavator with Hydraulic Mobile Shears (2nd or 3rd member) – minimum 4 years’ experience required.
• Scrap metal processing and handling.

Skills that are not essential but would be highly regarded for the role:

• Notable experience operating excavators with attachments such as pulverisers and hydraulic hammers.
• Heavy Vehicle (HR) Licence or above.
• Notable experience in operating Articulated Dump Trucks, Water Trucks and Service Trucks.
• On ground experience in demolition or recycling projects.
• Telehandler / forklift ticket.
• EWP ticket.
• Oxy cutting experience.

Liberty Industrial uses an Enterprise Agreement to classify an employee's skills and experience and therefore, their hourly rate. This can be discussed in more detail during the interview.
