Turn complexity into simplicity and show clients how to optimise their trade spend and price and promotional activities. We’re looking for a junior-level analyst to work with our Price & Promotion solutions in Asia Pacific.

In this role, you play a part in informing globe’s largest manufacturers on their price, promotional, and profit strategies.

The NIQ Advanced Analytics team are leaders in measuring the impact of pricing and promotion in driving sales of a brand. We translate modeled outputs into actionable insights and sound recommendations, so clients can optimise their in-store strategies and plans to maximize Revenue Growth.

Our strength is being able to address client’s commercial challenges – we leverage our technical expertise across research techniques and activate the insights in our clients' business through a consultative approach.

You are a consultative, client-facing individual with some experience managing complex projects and using your skills to solve problems. Ideally, you have experience working with analytic consulting and specifically pricing/promotional modeling, or a similar field. You’ll be able to communicate complexity in a simple way and have relevant qualifications to back it up.

Importantly, you are a team player, a fast learner, and can stand on your own two feet when managing projects and advising clients on how and why analytics can help improve the way they spend their trade budget.

This role may suit either someone who is adept at how to apply econometric modeling to solve real-world trade problems, or an effective project manager with a strong understanding of analytics.
The abilities you need are:

  • Ability to conduct face-to-face presentations or workshops
  • Ideally some experience working with analytical techniques, such as regression modelling, or a related / comparable field.
  • Ability to perform quantitative analysis and superior attention to detail when reporting research findings
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and insights into actionable, understandable actions
  • Ability to partner with internal sales stakeholders to help deliver revenue target
  • Good understanding of the consumer and retailer landscape in Asia Pacific markets
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerBI skills

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 1 - 3 years of working experience in Consumer Packaged Goods and research-related industry experience (insights/category/shopper/agency)
  • Keen manufacturer and retailer knowledge of the Pacific
  • Strong leadership skills with good project management exposure
  • Excellent in presentation, good knowledge in analytics and a good story teller
  • Knowledge in pricing and promotion is fundamental
  • Experience in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) field would be a plus
