Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) is an independent, not-for-profit health service, with a core interest to improve the health of the community. Originating in Gippsland, and following rapid growth in recent years, services include: general practice; nursing; allied health; community aged care; dental; counselling and psychology; gambling support; alcohol and drug treatment; migrant and refugee settlement services; social connection and, carer support services. LCHS also provides GP, allied health and aged care services in metro Melbourne, and Local Area Coordination and Early Childhood services for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Victoria.
About the role
In this newly elevated position, the Executive Director - People, Learning and Culture, will partner with the Chief Executive Officer and the executive leadership team to shape and deliver the strategic and operational agenda for LCHS. Critical to success in this executive role will be the appointee’s ability to work effectively with the board and governance committees in what is a highly regulated sector, and also lead the development and delivery of a people strategy aligned with the ambitions of the organisation. A key focus for the role will be driving the enhancement of LCHS’s talent management, capability and performance strategies to support the expanding workforce.
About you
You are an accomplished human resources executive, who has deep experience leading a high-quality people AND CULTURE function in a complex industrial relations setting. You are excited about the opportunity to apply your well-rounded skillset across strategic and operational priorities, demonstrating a passion for driving sustainable change and providing influential and supportive leadership. You have the ability to engage credibly across all levels of an organisation, as well as with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Spending two days in Morwell each week is a prerequisite for this role which will enable your hands-on approach to make a real contribution through the people agenda of this critical health service.
