The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. We’re looking for an Executive Housekeeper (pre-opening) to join our team to manage all aspects of housekeeping and laundry to ensure the department’s high standards are ready to deliver memorable and unique guest experiences upon hotel opening and beyond.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but as part of the pre-opening team, you will play a key role in:
Creating and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry handling, and public area maintenance, to ensure consistency and quality in housekeeping services.
Hiring and training of housekeeping staff including housekeepers, room attendants and public area attendants.
Overseeing the setup and integration of technology/systems such as scheduling software, cleaning checklists, and quality control measures.
Oversee the procurement of housekeeping supplies, linens, amenities, and cleaning equipment, establishing relationships with suppliers and ensuring necessary inventory is stocked up to meet the anticipated demand.
Collaborate closely with other departments, such as maintenance, front office, and F&B, to ensure seamless operations, communicating housekeeping needs and requirements effectively to other teams.
Manage day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback.
Help prepare annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
Foster positive stakeholder relationships if applicable and assist in providing ongoing information and status reports.
Conduct thorough inspections of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards and any necessary repairs or improvements, identified and addressed promptly.
Ensures all health and safety protocols are in place before the hotel opens.
What we need from you
High School Diploma / secondary education / equivalent
Four years' housekeeping/laundry experience preferably in a hotel of similar size, including supervisory experience.
A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
Strong communication skills and passionate about developing your team.
Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and have an open mind around how we can drive the Hotel forward.
Must be fluent in English and other languages preferred.
