Role DetailsThe Executive Officer, Port Augusta Community Leadership Group is a role within Community and Aboriginal Partnerships (CFS) and is accountable to the General Manager, Regional and Remote Services for:Providing timely expert executive coordination, communication and professional support to the Port Augusta Community Leadership Group including managing a diverse range of critical issues, services and projects relating to key strategic objectives in Port Augusta and Davenport.Leading and co-ordinating the development of proposals on program and service delivery issues in Port Augusta, including preparing papers, submissions, briefs and reports.Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with the Port Augusta Governance Group, Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce and key stakeholders in government, non-government service providers, and representatives from the community services sector in Port Augusta.Key outcomes and accountabilities:Prepare, author, edit, manage and review the provision of high-level communications and correspondence for the General Manager’s approval including briefings, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy and timeliness of written information.Undertake high-level analysis, integration and synthesis of information from a range of internal and external sources to provide the General Manager with strategic, timely advice on complex and sensitive matters relating to Port Augusta and Davenport.Research and prepare strategic advice, information and reports on policy, planning and operational matters to facilitate informed decision making and planning for Port Augusta.Implement, monitor and report on strategic, operational and project plans to inform decision making and support achievement of organisational objectives.Lead and/or contribute to projects in Port Augusta and Davenport to support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.Support committees, meetings and related forums held by the Port Augusta Governance Group and coordinate the submission of reports, briefings and related documents for the General Manager’s attention.Represent the Department on committees, working parties and related forums as required and advocate the position of the Division/Department.Provide issues management and support as required, responding to emerging issues to ensure effective resolution with minimal risk to the Department.Special ConditionsNational Police Check required.Employment-related Screening Check required.Some out of hours work may be required.Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).Role Status: Term up to 20/09/2024.Tertiary qualification in communications, political science or related subjects or demonstrable and extensive experience in working in government equivalent positions with respect to cross-government communication and policy and project management is desirable.Contact UsEnquiries to Jacqueline Costanzo0467 723 492jacqueline.costanzo@sa.gov.au
