About the Executive Officer role and about you 

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Executive Officer to join our Customers team. This is a dual role, supporting the Executive Director, Customers – Services and the Executive Director, Customers – Homes & Places. This role is the organisational centre for the Customers teams, providing expert executive coordination, communication and professional support to the Executive Directors including managing a diverse range of critical issues, stakeholder interactions, and projects.  

You will be involved in managing administrative requests, scheduling meetings and actioning follow-up items, organising and/or facilitating Executive Team forums and coordinate the writing, reviewing and submission of documents for the Executive Director’s attention.  

To succeed in this role, you will be a driven and pro-active individual, have strong organisational and communication skills, and experience supporting executives across multi-service functions. You will have good awareness of self and others, and be able to work collaboratively with teams across the business on behalf of the Executive Directors.   

This is a permanent role, based at our Hurstville office currently (re-location to working across Redfern and Liverpool offices in late 2024).

  • Experience working at a senior level in an Executive support role  
  • Highly developed skills in interpersonal and written communication at an executive level  
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to manage time, output and a range of tasks and competing priorities within tight timelines 
  • Highly developed attention to detail and accuracy   
  • Experience in managing confidential and sensitive information and matters 
  • Experience in both internal and external stakeholder engagement/relationship management and customer service   
  • Experience in end-to-end co-ordination of both internal and external meetings and events including implementation and follow up of actions post meeting/event   
  • Experience in producing a range of different documents and correspondence in a timely and accurate way including reports, budgets, meeting agendas, minutes, emails, reports, and presentations   
  • Experience in Project coordination/management   
  • Advanced proficiency with technology applications including MS Office and web-based suite of applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, zoom) and DocuSign
