Looking to hire an experienced ECT or Educator for the 0-2 years room, with 2+ years working in an EC setting. This role would suit a recent graduate ECT with prior experience.
The successful candidate must be proactive, have a sunny disposition, be a strong team player and most importantly be able to join in play and build authentic relationships with the children.
Woodstock Early Learning Centre in Sydney Olympic Park is a privately run early childhood service where the connection with the environment is promoted through light filled rooms and a spacious outdoor environment. The service caters to 80 children per day (20 children in each room); and is close to public transport and shops.
We strongly believe that children learn through play and allow ample time for free play, as well as weekly planned simultaneous indoor/outdoor programs. While planned, the development of emerging pre-school readiness skills (social & emotional development, and self-help skills) and concepts are embedded into the programs.

Your responsibilities include:
- assisting to develop the curriculum - programming and planning
- assist with the set-up of the environments – both indoors and outdoors
- work in a professional work environment, and contribute equally to the team
- critically reflect on you own practices and use this information to ensure the self-assessment is current and relevant.
You will be able to:
- work collaboratively in a team
- contribute to self-reflection and the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System
- have sound knowledge of the NQF, including the EYLF, law and regulations (this includes being able to independently document throughout the various stages of the ELYF planning cycle)
- build strong partnerships and relationships with all children and their families, the community and your colleagues
- be an advocate for children (their rights and their protection)
- complete your ECT accreditation and obtain proficiency through our on-site NESA supervisor
You must have:
- a completed Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
- a completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- 2 years' experience working in a similar setting and role is essential
- Working with children check
- Good computer skills
- First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training
- Strong verbal and written English skills
