Fortec is an Australian owned contracting company that specialises in the Post-Tensioning of Building & Civil Concrete Structures, Ground Engineering and Bridge Remediation. Fortec are market leaders, with a reputation for excellent technical expertise and engineered solutions.
We are looking for an Experienced Labourer for an initial 13-15 weeks work on the Kununurra Diversion Dam project, with the opportunity for ongoing work on upcoming projects. In return for your experience, you will be rewarded with excellent and competitive hourly rates.
About You
This role would suit someone looking for an opportunity to join a well-known company in civil construction who enjoys working on a variety of projects and is flexible to working away on country-based projects. You would be working on a nominal 2-1 week roster on this project.
Preferably you would have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil construction.
- Experience with concrete / grout finishing, and formwork, and with tools such as jackhammers, drills, and core drills.
- The ability to read drawings.
- A confident swimmer.
- A strong team player who enjoys working with a small team.
- Understands Work, Health and Safety practices and supports a safety culture of zero harm.
- Holds a current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card).
Other desirable experience and certification includes:
- Experience working over / near water, with steel-fixing, and with epoxy.
- Tickets in rigging, dogman, FL / telehandler ticket, Recreational Skippers ticket.
- First aid Certificate.
- Traffic Controller certification.
