Job Responsibilities:
- Undertake a wide range of gardening and landscaping tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising.
- Perform regular maintenance of gardens and landscapes, ensuring they are well-groomed and visually appealing.
- Apply extensive knowledge of plant species, trees, and shrubs to ensure their health and vitality.
- Diagnose and address plant diseases, pests, and other related issues effectively.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
- Collaborate with the team on landscape design and installation projects, including hardscaping and irrigation systems.
- Offer expert advice and recommendations to clients regarding plant selection, garden care, and ongoing maintenance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Gardener or in a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in garden maintenance and landscaping.
- Deep understanding of plants, trees, shrubs, and horticultural practices suitable for the South Australian climate.
- Strong knowledge of soil health, irrigation systems, and pest management.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
