Our beautiful brand new 80 place service located in Wollert, is seeking a passionate and enthusiasticManager/Educational Leader to join our team. The centre is expected to open late April/May 2024.
Within our team we value collaboration, respect, care and passion and to accompany this are seeking an experienced Manager/Educational Leaderwho can lead, support, mentor and inspire the team on their education journey.
About the Role
The Manager/Educational Leader has an influential and vital role in inspiring, motivating, extending and challenging the practice of educators.
The role is a collaborative one, involving inquiry, reflection and collaboration which can significantly impact on the important work educators do with the children and their families.
This position will be part of the management team that will support the centre Manager with the day to day running of the service, and Educators with the educational program. This role includes contact and non-contact hours over a 38 hour week.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Educational leader
- Diploma or equivalent approved teaching qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years (or equivalent) demonstrated leadership experience
- Sound understanding of the frameworks including but not limited to EYLF, VEYLDF and NQF
- Understanding and/or experience in the development and growth of Quality Improvement plans and self assessment tools
- Team-based, collaborative approach to your practices
- Ability to communicate and connect with families, the team and communities
- The ability to adapt to different methods of teaching to support individual learning styles
- An energetic and proactive approach to the role
Assistant service manager
- Have previous experience in a similar role
- Possess excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in the workplace
- Experience with OWNA would be highly regarded
- Experience with rostering, staffing and ratios
- Have a clear understanding of the Assessment and Rating process
