Experienced Metal Tradesperson or Boilermaker

IM Partners is proud to present an exciting opportunity in Adelaide's Inner South, on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer of Industrial Water Tanks. Due to continued growth, we're inviting applications to join a compact and dynamic team in a modern and clean workshop environment as a Metal Tradesperson.

This small, efficient team is looking to fill a hands-on role, crucial to the smooth operation of the workshop.

About the Position:

This position offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced person from the metal trades (boilermaker / sheet metal worker / welder etc)  to step into a workshop role. The high clearance, well-lit workshop is equipped with modern machinery (laser cutter, CNC press and pan-brake, guillotine, bandsaw etc) painted floors, air conditioning, great facilities and is only 5 minutes from the end of the southern expressway. 

Role Summary:

In this role, you will play a vital part in our small fabrication team. Your responsibilities will include executing work with a high attention to detail, and ensuring that our workshop upholds the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication of flat packed commercial water tanks.
• General steel fabrication including one-off parts and both large and small production runs.
• Accurately interpreting engineering drawings.
• Managing material take-offs to ensure timely availability of stock.
• Maintaining a clean workshop and a well-stocked inventory.
• Supporting other team members and providing guidance to apprentices.
• Aligning tasks with production objectives.
• Facilitating large and small production runs.
• Ensuring clear communication within the team for smooth operations.
• Prioritising safety and regular maintenance in the workshop.
• Operating forklifts.
• Providing technical assistance and guidance on complex tasks.
• Occasional site work.

Candidate Profile:

• Metal Trades qualification (BMW preferable)
• Forklift licence (advantageous).
• Current driver's licence.
• Exceptional teamwork and collaborative abilities.
• Strong fabrication skills

Remuneration:

Compensation will be based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process with shortlisted candidates.
