About an Experienced Role (not a senior)

These full or part time (clinic based with optional work from home & community visit) roles are focused on developing and empowering our young clients across the (paediatric) age span and diagnoses. 

  • Be located in Metro Adelaide; Unley, Walkerville, Morphett Vale, Golden Grove West Lakes or Glenelg
  • Nurture our paediatric clients who are experiencing learning, sensory, intellectual and cognitive difficulties
  • Provide therapy for paediatric conditions including: speech and language delays and disorders, literacy, and fluency of speech difficulties in children experiencing Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Auditory Processing Disorders and more
  • Engage in Clinic based treatment, Tele-therapy Appointments and (Optional) Community Visits 
  • Educate our clients families and teachers in order to nurture change in skills and expectations of children
  • Enjoy your own treatment room with all resources provided 

About a Senior Role

(Supported) Senior roles are offered in addition to being an experienced practitioner, and are focused on nurturing less experienced therapists towards professional confidence and competence. 

By leading, educating and supervising their therapy team, it affords the senior therapist the satisfaction of indirectly and positively impacting the lives of many children and their families, while simultaneously nurturing the therapists under their guidance. 

Clinical Seniors are well supported (by the Clinical Director, Clinical Leads of OT and Speech, and Mentor therapists) and have the opportunity to:

  • Mentor/Lead Occupational Therapists (and indirectly Speech Pathologists)
  • Manage and contribute content to the Graduate Program, and supervise the multiple graduates in the program   
  • Develop/modify clinical delivery methods and operational systems that support clinicians 
  • Create new resources and service delivery
  • Instigate, plan and deliver regular Professional Development Team Training (whether live or pre-recorded)
  • Enjoy supported growth into the role (Leadership training)
  • Have a reduced clinical caseload, so you have the time to support other staff

About You

This role is ideal for you if you have:

  • 1 year+ Paediatric experience (experienced)
  • 2 years+ Paediatric experience (senior)
  • Speech Pathology Australia Membership
  • Current and ‘not prohibited’ DCSI Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to quickly establish rapport with clients, families and professionals
  • Positive 'Can Do' attitude  
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Genuine passion for mentoring and supervising good therapists into awesome therapists! 
  • Passion to make a difference in the lives of children, their parents and their teachers through nurturing the skill and impact delivered by the therapists your guidance.
