We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse (RN) to join our amazing team on a casual or part time basis, starting at 2 days a week, with the potential to increase to 4 days a week. No weekend work required.
We are a busy, well established general practice with plenty of loyal patients who need our ongoing care. The role includes a mix of chronic disease management and treatment room shifts.

The suitable candidate will need to be professional, friendly, caring and come with a “can-do” attitude.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Working with the GPs, Practice Manager and nursing team, be integral in the practice's approach to providing healthcare to our patients.
- Provide nursing support services to patients and GPs in an acute and chronic care space.
- Support of other (RNs and ENs) within the practice.
- Work with the practice team as needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the medical centre.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
- Registration as an RN with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice.
- Commitment to ensuring compliance with any COVID-19 vaccination requirements in-line with the latest recommendations from the Commonwealth Department of Health and Qld Health.
- Experience as a Practice Nurse
- Competence in the use of relevant equipment (eg ECG, Spirometry, audiometer etc) and practice management software ie Best Practice Software preferred.
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in areas such as Asthma/spirometry, drug and alcohol screening, Chronic Disease Management, lifestyle coaching etc will be highly regarded.
- Experience in Medicare item utilisation to support the provision of high quality healthcare.
