A rare opportunity has arisen to join our VPS team in a pivotal patient and clinical support role.
Valley Plastic Surgery is looking for a motivated and experienced clinic nurse who will emulate our commitment to providing exceptional service. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high level of personalised patient care. You will work closely with a team of experienced Specialist Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologist and nurses at our Fortitude Valley practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Using clinical judgment to manage patients in collaboration with specialists and within scope of practice
- Provision of patient education including pre and post-operative information
- Assisting specialist with minor procedures in rooms
- Collaboratively and autonomously managing wounds
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Medical photography
- Knowledge and application of contemporary professional nursing standards
Additional Qualities:
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing improvements to clinical processes to enhance clinic efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior Registered Nurses and Assistant in Nursing staff.
- Exhibit strong independent problem-solving skills, capable of addressing and resolving complex patient situations and inquiries.
- Operate with a high level of autonomy, requiring minimal supervision.
- Understand clinic workflow dynamics and patient care coordination to maintain optimal clinic throughput.

- Have experience in a similar role or out patient setting
This is a full-time position with part-time hours negotiable. You will be required to be available to assist with cover for leave.
