Role
We are seeking to find a full time experienced Senior Baker to work in our AM production team.
As a Senior Baker, you will be someone who can work on your own but also love being part of a team. Working in a fast-paced environment with the production team excites you and you thrive on building relationships with people from all walks of life and enjoy camaraderie.
You have a passion for baking and want to continue to learn from the experts, located at our state of the art commercial baking facility in Alexandria, close to Mascot Train station.
Some further requirements and information:
- Qualified baker with minimum 5 years experience
- Flexible and available to work across a rotating roster including some weekend work
- Early morning shift currently available
- Ability to produce high quality bread and viennoiserie at scale
- Proficient with mixing, shaping and baking of high quality sourdough bread
- Proficiency with operating spiral mixers
- Working with rack ovens and deck ovens
- Hand molding skill required
- Viennoiserie production experience including lamination
- General bakery equipment troubleshooting and cleaning
- Creative and able to assist with NPD process when required
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills required
- Monitoring ingredients for quality and quantity
- Fit and able to lift up to 25kg
- Good time management required
- Be a collaborative team player
- Good communication skills
- Have solid work ethic
Salary: $ 65,000 - $75,000
