Essential Criteria:
- To demonstrate natural yet advanced horsemanship abilities, including the skill to work the owner’s young stock horses on cattle regularly.
- To read cattle effectively and work well in partnership with the owners and other staff within a cattle yard environment using low stress stock handling methods within the well-handled, quiet herd.
- To either hold or be willing to obtain a HR truck licence.
- To bring sound mechanical skills which may be utilised in a workshop setting or within the repair or installation of existing and new stock watering points.
- To be able to operate machinery such as smaller 80HP tractors as required with the opportunity to work larger machinery such as a D6 CAT dozer if capable.
- The ability to ride a quad bike.
A family sized home or single accommodation is available to the successful candidate which is located on the property. Being remotely located, this position would be suitable for those applicants who do not have to consider travel to schools. Our client has indicated that in addition to the salary (being a negotiable figure based on experience), the house, meat and power will be included. Pets will be considered by negotiation however no inside pets are allowed in the provided accommodation residence and working dogs are not used on cattle.
