Job Tasks and Responsibilities
In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as a Mechanical Trade. Reporting to the Shift Area Leader (Undermanager), your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct effective maintenance and fault-finding work on Mechanical systems.
- Monitor Mechanical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
- Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
Skills and Experience
Our Essential Criteria
- Underground Coal Mining experience or Relevant Heavy Industry plant experience.
- Relevant qualifications - Mechanical Trade Qualification.
- A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
- Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Post trade hydraulics
- High Risk Work Licences
- AS3584 Explosion Protected Engine systems (DES)
