Are you a highly skilled and experienced waiter/waitress looking for a new opportunity in the food and beverage industry?

Manjits is your vibrant Indian Restaurant, located in the heart of Sydney CBD. We are currently seeking an experienced waiter/waitress who is passionate about delivering top-notch service to our valued guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Provide detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any specials or promotions.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any concerns or special requests.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables and dining areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations and dining areas.
  • Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently, including processing credit card transactions and issuing receipts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and seamless dining experience for guests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a waiter/waitress in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
  • Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairings and cocktail recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $21.04 – $34.16 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

  • Rotating roster
  • Weekend availability

  • Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)
